I hope you had some relaxation and quality time with your children during the school holidays.
We welcome Miss Jessica Steinert to our class who will be joining us for 4.5 weeks this term. She is a post graduate student from Macquarie University doing her prac teaching in our class. All of her lessons will be planned in consultation and her teaching will be closely supervised by me.
We have a busy term ahead of us! We will be participating in an exciting cross-campus debating program during this term. This will involve 2 debating workshop days. The first one will take place on Wednesday 31 July at the Bayview campus. The second will take place on Wednesday 18 September at the Dee Why campus. The aim of the workshops is to introduce students to the structure and some of the techniques involved in debating. Both of these workshops are full day events. We look forward to debating as a cross-campus event.
In Science this week, the students had to come up with a new product to solve a 'simple' everyday problem using their knowledge of heat or light energy. Here they are busy making their products!
