I hope you had some quality time to spend with family during the Easter holidays.
We have an excursion on Thursday 9 May to the Royal Botanic Gardens for our Geography unit on the Earth's Environment. Students will investigate the wide variety of local plants which were integral part of the first Australians. Students will meet with an Aboriginal Educational Officer and learn about how Aboriginals used plants for food, weapons and medicine. Please have your son/daughter come prepared for this excursion with the following items:
- sports uniform with white shirt
- hat
- packed morning tea
- packed lunch
- raincoat if weather forecast predicts rain
Thank you to those who have put in a major effort for the drought appeal. Just a reminder that drought appeal contributions are now due. Please return all envelopes, whether used or not to the front office as soon as possible.
Here are some pictures of us experimenting with light energy and shadows. We were investigating what would happen to the shadow as you moved an object further away from the wall.
Kind regards,
Michelle Brixen
